Summertime Bliss

Summertime is in full swing here in Bozeman, and we all have our favorite summer activities to keep us busy. Typically this is a really slow time for yoga classes, as generally people prefer to be outside.
After looking over my calendar for the next few weeks, I have decided to take a break a good part of the summer and resume classes on August 19. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping myself busy with trainings and family reunions and enjoying the sunshine.
What can you do, as a pregnant mama, to prepare your mind and body for birth in the meantime? Well, my teacher, Gurmukh recommends walking up to five miles a day to prepare yourself for labor. Walking balances the hemispheres of the brain, soothes mental agitation, detoxifies the lymph glands, and develops one-pointed focus. Move your arms and breathe deeply!
Please also visit some of the other prenatal yoga classes in the area. Colleen Crane has a class at The Club on Monday afternoons, Sandy Knapp has a class at Montana Lotus Yoga on Tuesday afternoons (you must pre-register), and Sara Rossi has a class at Breathing Room Yoga in Livingston during lunchtime on Wednesdays.
